Terms of Service: Arts Award
1. Definitions
1.1 “Our”, “We”, and “Us” refer to the Arts Award Advisor acting on behalf of the business of Nicki Reg.
1.2 “You” and “Your” refer to the parent, legal guardian, or individual responsible for the Young Person participating in the Arts Award.
1.3 “Young Person” refers to the individual enrolled in and undertaking the Arts Award.
2. The Arts Award Qualification
2.1 The Arts Award is a range of unique qualifications that supports anyone aged up to 25 to grow as artists and arts leaders. It inspires young people to connect with and participate in the wider arts world by taking on creative challenges in an art form of their choice – from fashion to digital art, pottery to poetry. Through progressing across the five levels, Young People have the opportunity to:
Discover the enjoyment of creating and taking part in arts activities
Experience arts events
Develop creative and communication skills essential for success in 21st-century life
Explore the work of artists and craftspeople, gaining insight into the professional arts world
Gain experience and knowledge to help them progress into further education and employment
2.2 There are no entry requirements, no time limit for completing an Arts Award, and no set rules regarding how final work must be presented.
2.3 Through Arts Award training accredited by Trinity College London, We are qualified to teach and assess the following levels:
Discover
Explore
Bronze
Silver
Gold
2.4 The Explore, Bronze, and Silver Arts Awards are recognised, regulated qualifications:
Explore – Entry Level Award in the Arts (Entry 3)
Bronze – Level 1 Award in the Arts
Silver – Level 2 Award in the Arts
Gold – Level 3 Award in the Arts
2.5 The Discover Arts Award is not a regulated qualification but is certificated by Trinity College London.
2.6 To undertake an Arts Award, the Young Person must fall within the following age ranges:
Discover – Open to anyone aged 25 and under (designed for ages 5–9, particularly Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2)
Explore – Open to anyone aged 25 and under (designed for ages 7–11, particularly upper Key Stage 2)
Bronze – Open to anyone aged 11–25 (designed for ages 11–14)
Silver – Open to anyone aged 11–25 (designed for ages 14–16)
Gold – Open to anyone aged 11–25 (designed for ages 16 and above)
3: Charges
3.1 You will pay the standard fee as shown on www.nickiregart.co.uk under the Pricing section. Fees may be subject to future price increases. We will provide You with one month’s notice of any changes.
3.2 Certificate and administration fees (from January 2026) are as follows:
Discover: £7:00
Explore: £19.00
Bronze: £33.00
Silver: £49.00
Gold: £67.00
3.3 You will pay an hourly fee for any additional work requested that falls outside the pre-agreed lesson structure. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing pre-recorded evidence, additional lessons, or workshops. Any such work will be discussed and agreed with You in advance.
4. Your Responsibilities
As the parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult, You agree to:
4.1 Support the Young Person by taking them to events, galleries, or exhibitions if required by their Arts Award level (Explore, Bronze, Silver, Gold).
4.2 Not complete any work in the Young Person’s arts log or portfolio on their behalf.
4.3 Respect the role of the Advisor. If We determine that the work submitted is not the Young Person’s own, We cannot assess it, and no qualification will be awarded.
4.4 Pay for guided lessons delivered by Us. Estimated guided learning hours per award:
Discover: 20 hours
Explore: 25 hours
Bronze: 40 hours
Silver: 60 hours
Gold: 90 hours
4.5 Support the Young Person to complete required independent learning at home:
Explore: 10 hours
Bronze: 20 hours
Silver: 35 hours
Gold: 60 hours
4.6 Pay per hour for any additional work requested beyond the agreed sessions (see Section 3.3).
4.7 Support the Young Person to care for their arts log or portfolio and ensure it is brought to all lessons.
4.8 Provide permission for submission of the arts log or portfolio to Trinity College London for moderation.
4.9 Pay for the certificate(s) for the Young Person.
4.10 You may choose to stop the Arts Award at any time, but incomplete work cannot be assessed, and no certificate or qualification will be issued.
5. Our Responsibilities
As the Advisor, We agree to:
5.1 Recruit Young People for participation in the Arts Award programme.
5.2 Plan and deliver the Arts Award programme according to the individual needs, abilities, and interests of the Young Person.
5.3 Support the Young Person to produce their arts log or portfolio in any suitable format (including digital).
5.4 Follow the most up-to-date Advisors Toolkit for teaching, guidance, and assessment.
5.5 Support, teach, monitor, advise, facilitate, and guide the Young Person on all required elements of their Arts Award.
5.6 Explain clearly the evidence required for assessment.
5.7 Offer opportunities for peer review, feedback, and exchange where appropriate.
5.8 Help the Young Person set challenging but achievable targets.
5.9 Not complete any work in the Young Person’s arts log or portfolio.
5.10 Complete formal individual assessments and submit the Young Person’s work for moderation with Trinity College London.
5.11 Set independent tasks for completion outside of guided sessions.
5.12 Write witness statements where necessary, dated and signed by Us.
5.13 With Your permission, take photographs, voice recordings, and video evidence to include in the arts log or portfolio for assessment and moderation
5.14 Assess the Young Person’s work according to the criteria in the Advisors Toolkit.
6. The Young Person
The Young Person agrees to:
6.1 Participate in guided and independent learning. Total estimated hours per award:
Discover: 20 hours (guided, not regulated)
Explore: 25 guided + 10 independent
Bronze: 40 guided + 20 independent
Silver: 60 guided + 35 independent
Gold: 90 guided + 60 independent
6.2 Care for their arts log or portfolio and bring it to all lessons.
6.3 Complete independent tasks set by Us.
6.4 Organise work correctly according to the Advisors Toolkit; misplaced work may not be marked.
6.5 Complete all work themselves; work must not be completed by parents, carers, tutors, or others.
6.6 Demonstrate the required criteria for their award level.
6.7 Provide all necessary evidence as specified in the Advisors Toolkit.
6.8 Write legibly so that all work can be clearly read by Us and the Trinity College moderator.
7. Privacy
7.1 For information about how We may collect and use personal information, please refer to Our Privacy Policy.
7.2 Student, adult, booking form, and care plan details will be securely destroyed six months after the Young Person’s last lesson unless You specify otherwise.
7.3 Young Person details will be shared with Trinity College London for assessment and moderation, including: full name, date of birth, ethnicity, parent/guardian email, and arts log or portfolio (which may include photographs, voice recordings, and video).
7.4 Trinity College requires portfolios to be stored digitally for three years for moderation purposes.

8. General
8.1 We reserve the right to refuse participation or discontinue support if these Terms and Conditions are not met.
8.2 These Terms and Conditions are reviewed periodically.
