Health & Safety Statement
Health & Safety Statement
We are committed to providing a safe, calm and supportive environment for all children, young people and adults who take part in our art lessons, workshops and tutoring.
Health and safety is central to how we work, and we take a proactive approach to identifying and managing risk while ensuring that creativity can be explored confidently and safely.
Our approach to health and safety includes:
Maintaining safe, clean and appropriate learning environments
Carrying out regular risk assessments for activities, tools, equipment and materials
Using age-appropriate resources and adapting activities to meet individual needs and abilities
Following robust safeguarding and child protection procedures
Holding current training in health and safety, safeguarding, first aid and online safety
Managing substances safely in line with COSHH requirements
Having clear procedures in place for emergencies
We work carefully and thoughtfully, particularly when working with children, young people and SEND participants. Individual needs, medical conditions and care plans are always taken into account.
Our full Health & Safety Policy, along with related safeguarding and risk assessment documentation, is reviewed regularly and is available on request.
